From the President

Hi Everyone,

Boy, it's been a hot summer, in more ways then one.  We have been so busy this since my last note.  We had our first Club Happy Hour, if you weren't there you missed a great time. We met at Midland Restaurant, former Damon's, there were approximately 45 members in attendance.  Happy hour turned into happy night, the event started at 5:30 ending sometime after 10.  It was great to see so many come out, some members we haven't seen in forever.  Hope you make August's Happy Hour.  It is the place to be.

On July 18 we held our Annual Ray Balcerzak Memorial Road Rally at Cobb's Lake Preserve.  We must be something right because God smiled on us once again.  We had a excellent turnout, 50+ members and 8 rally participants. The weather was perfect, hot & sunny with cool drinks to wet our whistle and great food.  This year's first place trophy winners were Sue Heller & Ron Hazlett, followed by second place winners Tom Kosmala, Lorna Lucarino and Linda Burke and bringing up third place was Karen Brown, John Fetsock and Efren Reyes.  The boobie prize honors goes to Jerry McFadden and his guest Sue Urbanski.  Each year it gets harder and harder to top the previous year however the 2010 road rally team Eric Hoyer, Marilyn & Bill Hiller and Herb Yerabek managed to do just that.  A huge thanks to everyone who donated their $5 reservation fee and much more to Multiple Sclerosis, we raised $300. Thanks team for all their hardwork and everyone for attending.

July 23, the 1st Annual Adrianne Pfeiffer Memorial Golf Tournament took place. I was unable to attend and didn't have all the facts at press time.  I will fill you in next newsletter, stay tuned.  See if anyone won the $10,000 Hole in One prize.

Now on to upcoming events, next is our summer picnic, The Cock & Bull Picnic, so far there has been little activity, call as soon as possible because if we don't get enough interest it will be cancelled.  Sorry but we can't have a picnic without the club support.

Don't forget this year's wine trip to Keuka Lake, sorry to say I may have to cancel from lack of support.  Please don't let this happen.

See you soon,
Shari
